Larkin Soap Company Warehouse

401 Water Street Location

In the early 1900s, the Larkin Company from Buffalo, New York, was the nation’s largest provider of dry goods, whole-sale groceries and automotive supplies.

To serve the western United States, they constructed this massive and efficient warehouse. In 2002, the building became a very successful business and condo conversion project.

Kellehers-Pub-Location

Kelleher’s opened in May 2001 and has been a Peoria staple ever since. Sit down inside this beautifully restored building with great Irish decoration.

If the weather permits you can sit down outside and enjoy the wonderful riverfront view with the occasional passing train. If you prefer to stay inside you can sit in the atrium next to the fireplace and still enjoy the riverfront view.

Murray Building/Stuber Building

Murray-Building-Stuber-Building-Location

Built by Joseph Stuber and Henry Kuck in 1928, to serve as a manufacturing and warehouse facility for their tinware business. Prior to the current building, a two story building was purchased and sued by Stuber and Kuck, but the need for expansion drove them to demolish the building and build a larger facility. They constructed the four-story all concrete and masonry building that was built with the same quality and pride they put in to their tinware products. Later, Stuber and Kuck would separate and Joseph Stuber would retain the building. Today the building still displays the Stuber Building Name.
